U.S. History 1870 - Present
Course Description:
U.S. History 1870 to the Present is a year long class that is a requirement for all sophomore level students at Iron Mountain High School. Within this time frame the students will cover such events as Westward Expansion, Industrial expansion, the Progressive Era, World War I, the Roaring 20's, the Stock Market Crash, World War II, Korean War, the Civil Rights movement, The Cold War, Vietnam Conflict, Conservatism, Desert Storm, and Terrorism. The class will chronologically follow the growth of the United States politically, physically, and socially throughout these historical periods.
